Akousma is a concert presenter whose main mandate is to present in Quebec, mainly in Montreal, works produced by artists or creative collectives in digital music.
The international festival of immersive digital music Akousma takes place every fall at Usine C. The works are presented there on an orchestra of speakers (acousmonium) and in several forms: acousmatic (music on support), mixed (instrument-s and music on media), live (“live electronics”), in video music or integrated into other forms of art such as dance, performance or installation.
