The Festival BD de Montréal (FBDM) is the only Montréal event with the primary mandate of promoting comics and the artists who create them.
The 14th FBDM will take place from May 23 to 25, 2025 on pedestrian-friendly rue Saint-Denis between Gilford and Roy. This free, bilingual event offers a varied programme of over 60 activities, including round tables, workshops, conversations and live drawing, as well as a number of exhibitions along the comics trail. A not-to-be-missed event in the world of comics, the festival attracts over 300 comics artists from near and far. The festival is preceded by a day dedicated to professionals and a special programme as part of ‘May, Comic Book Month’. In May 2024, more than 95,000 people turned out in glorious sunshine, making it the biggest comics festival in Canada!
