Explore multidisciplinary creativity with your family through the Douceurs saisonnières project!
This series of workshops for families with children aged 6 to 11, led by artists Lucy Fandel and Cara Roy, takes place at the Centre culturel Georges-Vanier as well as in the beautiful Parc Vinet and surrounding green spaces. Together, we experiment with multidisciplinary creation through sculpture, dance and drawing. The emphasis is on the creative process and collaborative expression. The series is inspired by the “Land art” and ephemeral sculptures of British artist Andy Goldsworthy, and by the movement practices and ephemeral creations of artist-mediators Cara Roy and Lucy Fandel. The body in motion, the pleasure of discovery and the desire to invest public space are the foundations of our approach. Following artistic experiments and explorations of outdoor spaces, with the support and environmental knowledge of GRAME, we create sculptures from a variety of collected objects and materials. Photographing the creations and keeping a logbook consolidate the experience through multidisciplinary, reflexive and personal traces.
