Joe Grass - Falcon’s Heart
More dates
Joe Grass has spent most of his (relatively short) life exploring sounds and songs.
Since he left Moncton to settle in Montreal, he has become one of the city’s most sought-after music partners. He has worked with Lhasa, the Barr Brothers and his own pre-pop band Klaus. He also co-edited Elisapie’s Polaris and Juno award-winning album, The Ballad of the Runaway Girl, and produced his new album, Inuktitut. He also contributed to the writing and arrangement of Patrick Watson’s Love Songs for Robots and Wave. Joe Grass’s live show is an exploration of songs and forms where the audience becomes the band’s fourth member. The musicians mingle with the room in a dynamic way: they take you on a journey, throw spells at you and tell stories rooted in the present, while projecting into the future the voices of many rich traditions. Defiant of genres, the trio is given to the guitar (Joe Grass), bass (Morgan Moore) and drums (Robbie Kuster) and adapts according to the moment. They are currently performing songs from Joe’s latest album, Falcon’s Heart. DAN LIVINGSTONE Acclaimed by the public, critics and his peers as a true-to-life enthusiast and virtuoso of fingerstyle, Dan Livingstone is not indifferent. His expressive and eminently personal style, his rich and powerful voice, and his subtile guitar playing completely breathtaking, fascinate and make a storyteller able to transmit his inspiration. A clever mix of ragtime, swing and traditional folk that both reflects and reinvents the traditions of this style of blues.
