La Chiva Gantiva

After three years of radio silence, the group, which has previously opened for Iggy Pop and worked in collaboration with Antibalas and Arrested Development, is celebrating their 15th anniversary by heading back on the road with their newest material. A solid rock sound, at times almost punk, spiced up with electro, funk and Afrobeat along with a blend of cumbia, champeta, chirimia and mapalé, all revamped to the max. La Chiva Gantiva is part of a new generation reclaiming and spreading traditional Afro-Colombian rhythms with confidence, enthusiasm, generosity and passion.
