Lancement du zine - Rencontres de fous

This zine is the result of a collective process that brought together four artists from diverse backgrounds: Richard Lortie, France McNeil, Polypore (Lydia Légaré), and Vé (Vénetia Tsibucas). Together, they shared their reflections, stories, and intuitions about the connections between art and madness during a series of closed-door meetings orchestrated by Folie/Culture. These intimate and rich exchanges first led to a group exhibition presented in March 2024 at the Vitrine of the Saint-Roch Church, before continuing in a new form: a collaborative zine, carefully designed and printed at the Le Pieu Printmaking Workshop. This zine serves as both a sensitive trace and an artistic object, a creative and resonant space for the voices that animated the Rencontres. - May 14, 2025, at Folie/Culture, in a relaxed 5 à 7 (happy hour) format. - The artists will be present to discuss, share, and celebrate this publication in a warm and informal setting. - Refreshments will be available at affordable prices.
