Welcomed by Martine, the wife of the deceased, the young man agrees to stay a few days, much to the dismay of Vincent, the suspicious son. Always transgressive, provocative and funny, Alain Guiraudie offers a new fable on sexual repression and religious hypocrisy. Evoking at times Hitchcock, at times Pasolini, this twisted black comedy, a rural and queer "murder mystery", offers tasty scores to its actors Félix Kysyl, Catherine Frot, Jean-Baptiste Durand and the ineffable Jacques Develay.
