Esplanade Tranquille
Montréal, Québec
Embark on an enchanting odyssey that promotes dialogue and reconciliation.
This installation offers a multi-sensory art experience that merges contemporary art and Indigenous culture. It takes the form of a sphere that is suspended from a high arch and composed of 1,779 plexiglass tiles. Each tile contributes to a visual spectacle inspired by the flight of birds and the collective movement of fish. This work, enhanced by augmented reality, reflects its image back to the public while integrating it into the environment. With a rich soundscape created by local artists, the installation also celebrates the victims of Canada's residential school system while fostering connection and a sense of community.
