Basterds

Basterds

BASTERDS is a five-piece from Drummondville, Quebec, who came together in 2016 to play metalcore.
In 2017, they recorded a five-song demo project called The Greatest Shame, followed by an EP titled Deliver Me in 2019. Now in 2021, the band has teamed up with Montreal label Hell for Breakfast to release their debut LP, A Place to Call Hell. Metalcore fans can expect a perfect blend of aggression and melody on this release—ideal for headbanging and mosh pits alike.

Recorded at House of Gain Studio with Max Lacroix (known for his work with Blind Witness, Sudden Waves, Boundaries, and Horcrux), the Canadian heavyweight helped BASTERDS push themselves to new heights on this project. In addition to releasing several projects in their early years, the band began performing live in front of crowds in 2017. They haven’t slowed down since, carving out a place for themselves across cities in Quebec and Ontario, and earning the opportunity to share the stage with bands such as Obey The Brave, Knocked Loose, Get The Shot, and Obliterate.

Their on-stage energy is nothing short of contagious, and anyone who has seen them perform would say the same: BASTERDS are the next metalcore act to break out of Canada.
