She has since become a prominent figure in the Canadian belly dance community, particularly recognized for her work in tribal, fusion, and Turkish styles. A pioneer of ISG Tribal style (Improvisational Synchronized Group), she approaches Middle Eastern dance and its fusions with passion, discipline, and creativity.A multiple award recipient at competitions in Quebec and Ontario, Marthyna has also played an active role in the promotion and critical reflection of Middle Eastern dance. She has contributed as a columnist to specialized publications such as Papyrus, Gilded Serpent, and Hafla, and has been a speaker at the prestigious International Bellydance Conference of Canada (IBCC).A respected educator, she founded her own dance school in Saint-Basile-le-Grand in August 2004, where she shares her artistic and human-centered approach to dance. She is also the creator of several instructional DVDs, reflecting her desire to share her knowledge beyond geographical boundaries.Since 2012, Marthyna has been the Artistic Director of the troupe Les Shuvanies, guiding its artistic vision and development. She also created and produced the major event Tribalement vôtre for ten editions, an event now carried on by a collective of Quebec dancers. In addition, she holds a Creativity Coaching certification from the Canadian Coaching Alliance, an asset that continues to enrich both her artistic and pedagogical work.
