Velours Velours is Raphaël Pépin-Tanguay's outlet.
Active on the local circuit since 2022, the project has quickly carved out a place for itself among Quebec music lovers. After performing alongside Étienne Coppée, Velours Velours recently launched its first EP, co-produced with Philippe Brach.
Velours Velours' tasty, youthful pop offers a colorful, comforting universe of infinite possibilities. His songs, with their enchanting grooves, take us on a journey through everyday life, contemplating his surroundings, from the backstreets of Montreal to the salty waters of Gaspé. Velours Velours is one of CBC's artists to watch in 2023, and was recently awarded the Prix de la fondation Socan for a young Canadian singer-songwriter.
