Initiated and orchestrated by Culture pour tousundefined, the Journées de la culture are three days of free activities open to all, promoting greater public access to arts and culture.
As decreed by the National Assembly, the event takes place every year on the last Friday of September and the following two days, throughout Quebec.
The program offers an opportunity to discover and celebrate culture in all its forms, with cultural mediation as its DNA. The thousands of activities are organized by professional artists, artisans and cultural workers, business people, teachers and community, municipal and government workers from all walks of life.
To become an organizer, all you have to do is conceive and take charge of the entire production of one or more activities. Participation is voluntary.
