The Massimadi Festival is back for its 18th edition from October 15 to November 8, 2026, under the banner of "Living Memories.
"
A must-see event on the Montréal scene, this edition features more than 40 films across 7 themed blocks and a selection of premieres that loudly assert queer, Black, and indigenous voices.
This 18th edition explores, in turn, the strength of selected families, the resilience of indigenous and two-spirit peoples, the memories of queer and black struggles, as well as segments dedicated to the realities of afroqueer communities in the Caribbean and Guyana.
This year, the Massimadi Festival offers a vibrant showcase through exclusive events. This large-scale programming reflects the vitality, boldness and plurality of queer, black and indigenous scripts around the world.
