In 1893, a researcher living in the Chandelière house developed a passion for rare specimens and biological curiosities.
In 1893, a researcher living in the Chandelière house developed a passion for rare specimens and biological curiosities.
Unknown plants, exotic fungi, and strange organisms piled up in his collection, carefully preserved in jars. Then, one of them was forgotten. More than a century later, during renovations, a strange container hidden within the house’s walls was discovered. Intrigued by its contents, the new occupants committed the irreparable: they opened it. Something escapes. The contamination began in the Chandelière house before spreading at an alarming rate throughout the Village. Faced with the scale of the phenomenon, the army intervenes, seals off the area, and takes control. The agent responsible is quickly identified by a code name: Agent VQA-X93.

At the heart of the contaminated zone, an emergency laboratory is set up. While some desperately try to find a cure, others see Agent VQA-X93 as a discovery too powerful to be destroyed. But the situation is already spiraling out of their control.
As the pathogen spreads, it evolves: different variants emerge, and those infected undergo transformations. Their appearance, movements, and behavior change unpredictably, while some gradually lose all traces of humanity. Order collapses, mistrust takes hold, and clans form. The Village is now in utter chaos: everyone is trying to survive… or to take control of what remains.
