Heroines and Lyrical Passions
Soprano Sarah Dufresne brings this legendary figure to life by combining arias from two famous adaptations, by Auber and Massenet, to map out her psychological journey.
Alongside Manon, Keri-Lynn Wilson leads the OM in orchestral works by Clémence de Grandval, a pioneering female composer who carved a place for herself in a predominantly male world. Tchaikovsky and Wagner’s symphonic masterpieces then carry us through the tragic passions of Francesca da Rimini, heroine of The Divine Comedy, and Isolde, Tristan’s mythical lover.
