Lorraine Desmarais - Tribute to Bill Evans
Bill Evans profoundly transformed the art of the jazz trio and the language of jazz piano.
A subtle interpreter and inspired composer, he infused his musical approach with harmonic colors drawn from the French impressionists: Fauré, Debussy, and Ravel.
With great emotion, the Lorraine Desmarais Trio now brings to the stage its favorite Bill Evans pieces — an intimate musical conversation where creativity, virtuosity, musicality, and elegance take center stage.
Lorraine Desmarais – piano
Alek Walkington – double bass
Camil Belisle – drums
