Safia Nolin - Reprises Vol. 1-2-3
For the first time since 2016, Safia will take the stage to perform stripped-down versions of Quebec classics she’s been working on for nearly 10 years.
In folk renditions—often, but not always, melancholic—this will be a literal introspective journey through Quebec culture, guided by a millennial who loves pop, nostalgia, and melancholy.
Safia Nolin, a singular figure in the contemporary art scene, embodies a powerful political voice. Her journey is one of a quest for identity, an exploration of difference and marginality. As a woman of color, a lesbian, and an artistic non-conformist, she defies societal norms and expectations. Her aesthetic, both raw and poetic, is a celebration of imperfection and authenticity.
