THEHONESTGUY

Rooted in honesty and vulnerability, his music draws from classic R&B, gospel, jazz, and the rhythms and melodies of his Nigerian heritage, creating a sound that feels both familiar and distinctly his own.

Through acclaimed releases, including the JUNO Award-winning album VELVET SOUL, and his most recent release DON’T DISTURB THE GROOVE: AFROSOUL, THEHONESTGUY has established himself as one of Canada's most compelling independent voices. His warm vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and rich live arrangements have earned him a devoted audience and a reputation for delivering deeply human records that resonate across generations.

Equally captivating on stage, THEHONESTGUY has built a reputation for intimate, soulful performances that translate the warmth of his recordings into unforgettable live experiences. Whether exploring love, longing, healing, or self-discovery, his music is guided by a simple belief: authenticity never goes out of style.

With new music continuing to expand his sound and celebrate his roots, THEHONESTGUY is helping shape a modern vision of R&B that bridges cultures, generations, and traditions.
