Smith is seated on a chair, lost in thought, her gaze carrying a certain weight. The caption reads: “This is simply thinking of nothing. I remember my mother sitting like this. I would ask her: what’s wrong, Mom? And she would answer: oh, nothing. And now I know what nothing is.” Opening reception: September 17, from 6 to 8 PM, in the presence of the artists.
