Lisières

Through abstract works created with oil and cold wax, as well as a wall installation composed of small-format pieces, Hélène Lessard examines the boundaries between light and darkness, balance and chaos, presence and disappearance.
The surfaces are built through successive layers, scraping, marks, collage, and transparency. They evoke both inner landscapes and imagined territories, where fragments, lines, ruptures, and passages emerge.
The wall installation, made up of numerous small works, creates a distinctive rhythm and invites the eye to move from one fragment to the next. The larger works, more immersive in scale, extend this exploration of material and space.
Lisières offers a journey between what is revealed and what remains hidden, between what we leave behind and what we move toward. It is an exhibition about transitions, traces, and uncertain spaces where something new may still emerge.
