The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec is opening a new chapter in its history with the creation of the Espace Riopelle — Michael Audain Pavilion.
This new building is a lasting tribute to the centennial celebrations for artist Jean Paul Riopelle (1923–2002), honouring the artistic heritage of one of the most influential Québec and Canadian artists of the 20th century.

Surrounded by artworks, the Plains of Abraham and the St. Lawrence River, discover this new space where Riopelle’s world is brought to life and unfolds through a series of encounters, performances, and artistic experiences.
